The Spa
(Winchester Hotel and Spa) 

For the spa I intentionally avoided overwhelming the senses by implementing a color scheme that features various shades of grey, enhanced by warm dark wood accents and robust stone slabs. This subtle approach allows guests to simply exist in the space.

Recognizing that spa clients often spend a considerable amount of time lying down, I chose to draw attention to the ceiling by painting the rafters black, creating a striking feature that is further enriched by the use of LED strips at night for a soothing ambiance. To bring life and vibrancy to the space, I incorporated an assortment of tropical potted plants.

In the changing rooms, I adhered to a minimalist design philosophy, prioritizing elegance, simplicity, and functionality. This approach effectively maximizes the compact changing rooms, making them appear more spacious. I incorporated black-framed shower screens and black fittings to maintain cohesion with the overall design aesthetic.
